•October 29, 2009 • 2 CommentsF18 Shock Cone – Amazing Photo Sequence
•October 27, 2009 • Leave a CommentOn Sunday, I took my son to the Air Show at Alliance Field in Ft Worth. We watched a bunch of cool stuff, but the highlight of our day was the FA/18 Hornet. We didn’t stay long enough to see the Blue Angels, but we were in the right place, at the right time to catch a VERY cool phenomenon known as a “Shock Cone”. At near supersonic speeds, a vapor cone builds around the tail section of the F18 for a brief moment. This sequence of photos is a result of a Fighter Jet going past us at just about 700 MPH. Yes, SEVEN HUNDRED! Its days like this when 8 frames per second really does mean something. Without the speed of my camera, I would have missed this.

Grapevine Church of Christ & Delaney Vineyards: Travis & Mindy’s Wedding
•October 20, 2009 • Leave a CommentSaturday was a spectacular day in North Texas, and played as a perfect backdrop to Travis and Mindy’s wedding. The ceremony was held at the Grapevine Church of Christ and the reception was at The Delaney Vineyards in Grapevine. Both settings were beautiful and we were happy to be a part of it. Here is a preview of some of the photos we liked on our first pass through the image gallery. We will have a full post on this, including an awesome slideshow, in a few days.
SMU Highland Park Methodist Bridal Portrait: Mindy
•October 20, 2009 • Leave a CommentSince Mindy and Travis were married on Saturday, I can now show Mindy’s bridal portrait. Mindy and her mom chose SMU and the Highland Park Methodist Church as the location for the session. They wanted a more Classic approach to Mindy’s bridals, so we were happy to see them at this location. The setting was beautiful, the bride looked amazing and here are a few of our favorite photos from the day.

The Catch: MHS Freshman vs Midway Football Action Photos
•October 16, 2009 • 3 CommentsLast night I photographed the Midlothian High Freshman Blue and White Teams as they took on Midway High at MISD Stadium. Both games were very competitive and the photos are great. The Freshman Blue Team, however, featured two exceptional plays, and two exceptional photographs. The MHS Receiver #23 (no name available for me at this time) made two outstanding catches last night. The second, helped Midlothian score a touchdown and defeat Midway with 8 seconds left on the clock. Here are the two photos, and a link to purchase prints of all photos taken at the game.

Fog Bowl: Frank Seale MS 7th Football vs Coleman Action Photos
•October 16, 2009 • Leave a CommentOn Tuesday Frank Seale Middle School 7th Grade Football Teams took on Coleman MS at MISD Stadium. We were there to catch all of the action. It was one of the foggiest nights I have ever seen, much less taken photographs in. The pictures are really cool because of the fog. Here are a few of our favorites from the two games. Little Ava and the Watermelon
•October 14, 2009 • Leave a CommentAva turned two recently and her mom and dad brought her out for some new photos. We met on Turtle Creek in Dallas and got a bunch of really cute images. Ava started out in her pink zebra stripes, but then changed into her watermelon outfit. Mom even brought real watermelons to make it all authentic. Here are a few of mom’s favorites, some funnier than others

Pumpkin Patch Photos 2009
•October 12, 2009 • Leave a CommentAfter a rainy Friday night, the weather turned out very “Fall Like” for our 2009 Pumpkin Patch photos. This year we moved away from the studio and were hosted by Nicole Blackmon of Spoiled Rotten Boutique, at her beautiful home in Midlothian. If you didn’t make it, we missed you, and you missed a great set and lots of fun. We are considering another setup on Saturday morning, October 31. If we hear from enough people that would like us to set up and offer the specials again, we’ll host here at our studio. Please email us if you didn’t make it, or would like to come with your kids dressed in their costumes. Here are a few photos from Saturday.
