We’ve had so many seniors this past month, we’ve almost lost count. We wanted to share a few of our favorite images from this past senior season. Samantha is a Senior at Midlothian High School. She’s had this red dress stashed away waiting for the right moment to take some of her senior portraits in it. The other night, we got the most fabulous sunset, so we made use of the dress, and the sunset.
Midlothian High School Basketball Action vs LD Bell
Midlothian High School opened the 2010-11 Basketball Season against LD Bell on Tuesday night. We were on hand to catch some of the action. We photograph basketball with a little different technique than some of the other sports photographers at the games, so I think you’ll find a little something “special” in our images. Midlothian High School Senior Portraits: Samantha
Samantha is on the yearbook and newspaper staffs at Midlothian High School. She loves photography, and is a passionate and talented photographer. She is the first student we’ve selected to fill our internship at the studio. Not only is she talented, she’s also photogenic. Sam is on our Model Rep Crew, and we are so excited to share her images with you. We started in the studio and did some classic lighting to create the vintage camera photos. Then we moved out into Midlothian and shot the outdoor work. We wrapped up at our private creek location for her ‘Trash the Dress’ session. We caught the light perfectly and we’re thrilled with how the images turned out. Here are some of our favorites!

Ashley is a soccer star at Midlothian High School, and came to Ivey Photography for her Senior Portraits. Midlothian High School Senior Portraits – Cynthia
Cynthia came in last week for her senior portraits and did our Full Session. She brought in some great clothes, a TON of cool shoes and designer bags, and then topped it all off with our Trash the Dress session. Here are a few of her images. All of these images were made in and around Midlothian. If you think we just live in a “small town” with “nothing going on”, you’re wrong. The MHS Varsity Softball Seniors played their last home game of their high school careers last week vs Ennis. We were there to catch the emotional gift presentations and the great game action. Midlothian Varsity Baseball vs Aledo at The Ballpark in Arlington
The Midlothian High School Varsity Baseball team took on Aledo at The Ballpark in Arlington. The weather was spectacular and the Midlothian Boys won the game. Midlothian High School Basketball vs Red Oak
Red Oak and Midlothian played in the playoffs on Monday night. Red Oak came out ahead, but the game was close and very entertaining. We focused our cameras on the MHS Players and you can see and purchase those photos by clicking here.

Midlothian High School Football Banquet
Saturday night, the Midlothian Football Boosters held the Annual Football Banquet at the Midlothian Civic Center. Players, coaches and teams were recognized for their achievements over the past season. We were on hand to photograph the awards and make portraits of the players, their families, and their dates. We had a great time and we appreciate the Booster Club’s recognition of our photography at the event. If you would like to purchase photos from the event, click here.

Midlothian High School Band SMU Performance
Last night we were asked to photograph the Midlothian High School Band’s Wind Ensemble prior to their performance in Caruth Auditorium at SMU. We made portraits of the individual sections, as well as an overall photograph before they played. We stuck around to catch a few individuals during the performance. We will be adding these photos to our Order Section and making them available for purchase this afternoon. Thanks to the MHS Band and Mr. Doran for inviting us to the event.
Midlothian High School Senior Portraits – Sterling
Sterling came in last week for his senior portraits. He’s a baseball player, formerly a good pitching prospect, until an elbow injury last season took him off the mound. He’s working hard to come back this season and contribute to the MHS Baseball team in other ways. He has a great spirit, some crazy green eyes, and a really cool truck ! Midlothian High School Homecoming Photos
We took over 2000 photos during the Friday Homecoming parade, pep rally, halftime and football game. If you were in the parade or participated in the pep rally, there’s a good chance we have a photo of you. Midlothian took a tough loss to Cleburne in the last few seconds, but we still got plenty of good action from the game and the halftime festivities. We’ve received a number of calls today regarding MHS Football Action Photography. Ivey Photography is proud to be the exclusive commercial photographer for MHS Football 2009. We’ve already posted some game action at out website from the scrimmage against Denton. We will NOT be able to travel to San Antonio, but you will see us at all of the home games for each team. We’re covering Varsity, both JV teams and both Freshman teams. We will also cover the Walnut Grove and Frank Seale Junior High teams.
