Midlothian High School Basketball Action vs LD Bell
Midlothian High School opened the 2010-11 Basketball Season against LD Bell on Tuesday night. We were on hand to catch some of the action. We photograph basketball with a little different technique than some of the other sports photographers at the games, so I think you’ll find a little something “special” in our images. Here are a few favorites, and you can view and purchase more by visiting our Ordering Page.

Midlothian High School Senior Portraits: Hannah
Hannah is a Senior at Midlothian High School. Since we got 13 inches of snow over the last 48 hours, she took advantage of a unique opportunity to have her photographs made in the great snow scene we call Midlothian. We spent the afternoon in the studio and then headed out into the snow to play. We are super excited about the senior season here at Ivey Photography. We get great kids in with great attitudes and they are a joy to photograph. We are happy to call Hannah one of our new clients. Enjoy a few of her photos from today.

We created year-end video slide shows for each of the three teams. You can view those here. We still have a few copies left for $15 each. We are donating $5 from each sale to the Booster Club. Call or come by the studio to order.

The Catch: MHS Freshman vs Midway Football Action Photos
Last night I photographed the Midlothian High Freshman Blue and White Teams as they took on Midway High at MISD Stadium. Both games were very competitive and the photos are great. The Freshman Blue Team, however, featured two exceptional plays, and two exceptional photographs. The MHS Receiver #23 (no name available for me at this time) made two outstanding catches last night. The second, helped Midlothian score a touchdown and defeat Midway with 8 seconds left on the clock. Here are the two photos, and a link to purchase prints of all photos taken at the game.

I spent some time with 200 of the best junior golfers in Texas this week. My golf game isn’t bad, but I felt a little inferior hanging around this group. One of the boys winners fired a salty 69 on his second round! I took over 2700 photos in 2 days, and made sure to capture a swing sequence for each participant. I’ll have the photos posted to our online ordering system on Monday. Parents and family be patient as it can take a few days to get everyone uploaded successfully. If you need information on how to order, or how to redeem the free 4×6 print we included, please email or call us at 972-723-2464
For now, here are a couple of photos from the event.
Congratulations to all of the participants for qualifying for the event. And congratulations to the Champions for your excellent play over 2 hot days.
