Shannon & David: In Home Wedding

Shannon & David were married on Monday, February 23 in Shannon’s Parent’s home in Midlothian.  How they came to find me is a good lesson in doing your homework on your wedding photographer.  They called me on FRIDAY before the Monday ceremony.  The photographer they booked was a no show, and they could not reach him anywhere.  I was glad to step in at the last minute and take over.  Having only known Shannon, David, and their family for a few days, and having no preparation time for their in-home ceremony, I showed up with as much gear as I could carry.  The home was beautiful, and I was able to set up one remote flash during the ceremony to add a little balance to the lighting in the room.  For a wedding that I knew about for all of 2 days, I think it came out great.  If you’re considering Ivey Photography as your wedding photographer, please call us in advance :-).  Here are a few of my favorites from the day.
